Summer Softball is a fee based program that begins at the end of May and ends the beginning of August. Games are primarily played on the Student Rec Field at 5:15, 6:30 & 7:45pm Monday thru Thursday. This is an open league with no female/male requirements.
The UNH Woodsmen Team is a university-recognized co-ed sports club and is sponsored by Campus Recreation. UNH has fielded a team for more than 40 years.
The sport is dedicated to keeping alive the traditional skills used to cut timber and get it to the mill. Events include sawing, chopping, axe throwing, log rolling, pulp tossing, and other traditional skills.
As a rock climbing club, the climbing team accepts climbers of all skill-levels and is welcoming to new climbers. Learning from each other is an integral part of the climbing community and the climbing team is primary example of its effectiveness. Practices are twice per week, with weekend trips to Pawtuckaway and other climbing destinations.
The UNH Baseball team plays in both the Fall and Spring, while training in the Winter. As members of the Yankee Small College Conference, the Wildcats go up against nearby Community Colleges such as New Hampshire Technical Institute, Southern Maine Community College, and Hesser College. We play each team twice in the regular season with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs at Hadlock Stadium in Portland, Maine, the home of the Portland Sea Dogs.
8- one hour sessions include physical testing, basic nutritional information, motivational techniques, and a personalized workout plan, with additional time spent on proper form and alternative exercises.
