The Department of Campus Recreation at the University of New Hampshire is an organization that strives to provide extraordinary recreational programs and services that enhance a healthy lifestyle. Whether it is teaching a group exercise class, leading a trip to the White Mountains, officiating flag football, interacting with participants of the Hamel Recreation Center, driving a Zamboni, teaching a cooking class, there is a role for everyone.

Thousands of participants engage in Campus Recreation programming every day. UNH Campus Recreation relies upon 250 staff members to ensure that every participant has a positive and safe experience. The goal of employment with UNH Campus Recreation is that student employees have developmental work experience that provides staff with skills that can be carried into their professional careers.

Student Learning Outcomes

Risk Management - Through ongoing participation in risk management training, Campus Recreation student staff members will be able to identify risks associated with facilitating program activities, mitigate risk factors, and implement departmental protocols
Leadership - Through participation in ongoing staff training, Campus Recreation student staff will apply leadership skills to facilitate programs and services.
Organizational & Professional Development - Through participation in ongoing training, Campus Recreation student staff members will demonstrate knowledge of accessibility, inclusivity, multiculturalism and cultural humility.
