UNH INTRAMURALS

New Forfeit Policy. Please Read
The captain of a team will be charged a fee of $20 if all of the following conditions are met:

1.) Any team member fails to attend the mandatory captain's meeting for the sport and/or playoffs
2.) The team still wants to compete and be added into a league or playoff
3.) The team fails to have the minimum number of participants and forfeits their first game.
*Teams who are added late to a league/playoff and make their first game but forfeit a subsequent game will NOT be charged

The Purpose of this policy change is to strengthen the intramural program.  It ultimately costs you, the participants, more money when teams request to be added late only to forfeit.  We lose facility flexibility with the increase in teams and there is an added inconvenience to the opposing team who has no opponent.  It costs money in officiating, ice times, and office staff.  The policy will not change anything for teams that show up to the meeting.  There is also no impact to a team that misses the meeting and agrees to the new policy.  They simply have to show up for their game they committed to and play.  If there are any questions or comments, please contact our office.  Thank you.
