| Your membership includes full access to the Hamel Recreation Center except for any non-credit instructional courses that would require an additional fee. |

| Yes, the cost is $10.00 per visit. |

| Is the Recreation Center open while events are taking place at the Whittemore Arena? |
| Yes, the recreation center is always open for regular business hours regardless of what is taking place at the Whittemore Center Arena. |
| Is the Hamel Recreation Center open during holiday breaks? |
| Yes, the Hamel Recreation Center is available during holiday breaks but is closed during most holidays and during the week after Christmas until New Years. |
| Can students use the Hamel Recreation center during the summer? |
| Yes, the current fees are available on the membership page. |
| Where is Mendums Pond? |
| The Outdoor Recreation Area is a beautiful 95-acre site just nine miles from Durham. The Area is perfect for boating and picnicking. A wonderful children's area is provided and canoes and paddle boats are available for rent. Swimming is permitted, however, there are no lifeguards on duty. The area will be open every day 11:30am – 7:30pm, weather permitting. Alcohol and pets are prohibited. You may purchase a "Mendums Pond Pass" if you only wish to use the Mendums Pond Recreation Area and not other campus recreation facilities.
