Group Fitness Class Descriptions

Hi/Lo Classes are basic aerobic classes, using both high and low impact moves, while incorporating both higher and lower levels of intensity for participants of various ability levels. The class starts with a warm up, moving into the aerobic segment for 25-30 minutes, cooling down before going to the floor for abdominal work/toning and finishing with flexibility stretching.

Step Classes use a 4-inch platform with the option of adding 2 inch risers. Instructors use basic Step Reebok terminology and make their own routines, showing modifications for all levels (unless noted as an advanced class). Starting with a warm-up, the class steps for 25-35 minutes and finishes with a cool down, abdominal work/toning, and stretches.

Mixed Classes follow the basic format of regular Hi/Lo class, incorporating 25-35 minutes of aerobics, using the class type selected and finishing with strength work and stretching.

Cardio boxing is a powerful, intense, and repetitive workout, which incorporates boxing punches, jump roping, martial art style kicks/blocks and lots of legwork and toning.

Cycle Reebok is group biking on Reebok studio styled bikes. Using pedal speed and resistance lever, the instructors take you on a ride you'll never forget. Please bring a water bottle and towel!

Interval Training is a format for classes that incorporates intervals of time and a wide variety of equipment. Instructors may choose from bikes, slides, steps, ropes, weights, tubes, bands, and more to give you an exciting and entertaining cross training class. Timed intervals may vary from 1 to 5 minutes in length.

Strength & Stretch classes will use bands, tubes, weights, balls, and more to strengthen all muscles in your body. Learn more about muscle balance and training techniques and then finish with a solid stretch phase.

Sports Conditioning is a dynamic, intense, sometimes anaerobic and plyometric athletics style of class, which caters to the participant looking to push themselves to their limits.
