UNH students and faculty members use their university ID card to gain entrance to facilities. To enter the Hamel Rec center you will swipe your id or rec pass through a card reader at the entrance. The card reader verifies your eligibility to use the rec center. Day guests will be admitted by staff at the front desk. The id will also be used at the equipment room to check out locks, towels, and sports equipment. Students may use their ID as a debit card to pay for activity classes or purchase items sold in the Rec center. DO NOT LEND YOUR CARD TO ANYONE ELSE. It will be confiscated. Checks will be done to insure compliance. Using a false id will result in a one-week suspension for both the user and the person owning the ID. If a student or Rec pass holder forgets their ID, they may gain entry to the facility by purchasing a $10.00 refundable daily guest pass. Refunds may be obtained by returning the valid ID and the $10 receipt the next day.
