As a rock climbing club, the climbing team accepts climbers of all skill levels and is welcoming to new climbers. Learning from each other is an integral part of the climbing community and the climbing team is primary example of the effectiveness of this approach. Practices are twice per week, with weekend trips to Pawtuckaway and other climbing destinations.
The team competes in open competitions around New England at least twice per semester and does work with the AMC and the Blue Ocean Society to keep state parks and beaches clean. Its annual climbing-movie fundraiser is a member-organized networking event with local and professional sponsors that allows the team to remain self-sustainable.
