Certification

The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course is to teach participants the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The course content and activities prepare participants to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and prevent drowning and injuries.

This course includes First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer-Lifeguard, and AED.

Recertification

Attendance is mandatory for all dates for the Lifeguard Recertification.  The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguard Review course is to review and demonstrate skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies in order to obtain re-certification.

This course includes First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer-Lifeguard, and AED.

To be eligible for the review course, participants MUST BE CURRENTLY CERTIFIED having successfully completed an American Red Cross course within the last 2 years. You must show proof of certifications on the first day of class.
