Club Softball first debuted at UNH in the spring of 2001. The team is a student-run organization that generally carries a roster of 15-20 players. Tryouts are within the first two weeks of the fall semester. The majority of games are played throughout the fall season from early September through mid-November. Practices are held twice a week at the student recreation fields. Games are generally held over the weekend between Friday and Sunday, often with three games in one weekend.

The team has competed in the NCSA New England East conference since fall 2014. Other teams in the conference include: UVM, UConn, UMaine, Merrimack, UMass Amherst, and Northeastern. The team also scrimmages more local non-conference teams like NHTI, Central Maine, and Southern Maine. The spring semester is primarily dedicated to fundraising efforts. Since 2010, the team has hosted a successful home youth clinic among other fundraising and community service outreach. This team is committed to providing a competitive platform for players to continue to play softball throughout college.
