During Lap Swim, the pool is designated for fitness purposes (e.g. swimming laps, aqua jogging, etc.). It may also be used for private instruction with a Campus Recreation aquatics instructor. Participants must be at least eighteen years old or current UNH students.
Lap/Open Swim is designated for mixed usage (fitness and recreational usage) and is available to participants of any age with the payment of the daily fee or season pass purchase. Guests under fourteen years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

What is the length of the pool?

The pool is twenty-five yards in length. Here is a link to how many laps are in a swim mile.

What is the temperature of the pool?

The pool is typically 81-82 degrees.

What is the difference between the diving pool and the rest of the pool?

The entire pool is eight lanes wide.  The Diving Well and diving boards are located in lanes 7 and 8  with lanes 1 through 6 reserved as lap lanes.  Lap lanes lanes can be reserved independently or all together and it's possible to have multiple uses of the pool simultaneously.
